About the NBRZ

Owner Dave Bachmier has been working with computers since 1984 and began Neighbours Computers in partnership with his wife, Georgina, in Sep 2002. Their home-based business was born out of desire to provide quality computer sales and service at an affordable price.

The business has since expanded to include sales and installation of consumer electronics, such as TVs and stereos and inspired "Catalogue to Couch" - meaning not only do they help you with your selection, they will deliver to your home, set it up and even program your remote control! Now that's service!

Oct 2009 saw Dave and family retire to Grand Forks and continue their business with the vision of creating an Information & Technology CO-OP, which will give Boundary residents the same level of service and access to technology as the big cities.

Gerry Gadoury retired at 65 after 12 years in the computer industry and settled in Christina Lake with his wife, Patty (who by the way is a new employee with Kathy & Ted at Home Hardware). Gerry is not the retiring kind and was soon looking for part time work in the computer field.

Gerry’s personality, skills and insight quickly fit in and filled a niche that we didn’t even know was missing. Since Gerry is a senior himself, he suggested a Seniors Discount Policy might be another good fit - we agreed, and made one!
